Chicago-based Motorola is going to spoil us with its latest 5G phone as well, as the Lenovo-owned American consumer electronics and telecommunications company has said that it will be delivering on its sub-$500 commitment in the United States with the new, feature-rich Motorola One 5G.
On its official blog, Motorola says that the 5G phone will be available on AT&T soon and on Verizon early next month. The latter wireless carrier will be launching a unique Motorola One 5G variant, which will be connected to Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network.
If you have ever used a Motorola mobile phone, you already know the company is a king when it comes to inexpensive quality cell phones. That is not to say, of course, that Motorola does not make premium smartphones; several high end models by the company can even be said to be in a league of their own. With Motorola One 5G, a very quality 5G smartphone, the company once again beats the competition, and even gets the better of itself, when it comes to pricing.
Among high end 5G smartphones, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is the most expensive, costing $1300, followed by Motorola’s own Edge Plus, which costs $1000. Then, there is OnePlus 8 Pro, which starts at $900. You might be starting to fall in love with Motorola’s latest 5G phone, but if not, these prices definitely should make you love the company for offering a quality 5G phone under $500:
Among the more affordable midrange 5G phones, the OnePlus 8, LG Velvet, Motorola’s own, the Edge, and Samsung Galaxy A71 all cost about $700!
In case you still do not agree with us, let’s take a look at what you will be getting in a less-than $500 5G smartphone by Motorola:

Motorola One 5G is surely a budget 5G smartphone, but mainly in price. The kinds of features you get make the phone compete with some mid-tier and even a few premium 5G phones. To keep the price under $500, Motorola does make some compromises (LCD, not OLED screen; 4GB Ram, not 6 to 8 GB that phones at this price range have; and plastic body), but we would gladly take these “shortcomings” in a 5G phone that costs less than $500 and is otherwise a quality smartphone any day. Motorola One 5G is most probably going to be our first-ever 5G phone.
